Our Story
Warm memories of barbecue joints and family meals combined with the creative spirit and live music he enjoyed over years of summertime family gatherings inspired founder Marc Glosserman to share his Hill Country experiences with the world. Marc, with his wife and partner Kristen, launched Hill Country Barbecue Market NYC in 2007.
The Hill Country of Texas
Rolling hills, bluebonnet flowers, limestone backroads, smoke-filled pits and stories told over long, communal tables. That’s the Hill Country we’re named for – and the one we aim to honor in everything we do.
From the very start, Hill Country has been a family affair – and it still is. You’ll find Marc and Kristen (and sometimes even their kids) around the restaurant, checking in with guests and making sure the pit and good times are always rolling.
